We use the information we collect to:

• Extract event details from your photos
• Create calendar events based on the extracted information
• Evaluate extraction quality and improve prompts and product behavior; uploaded photos are not used to train AI models
• Enhance the overall user experience

Quality Review and AI Training

Uploaded photos are retained only temporarily for processing and quality review, then deleted. An authorized PicCal team member may review a photo together with its extracted output before deletion to evaluate accuracy or troubleshoot a problem. PicCal improves extraction by evaluating results and adjusting prompts or product behavior, not by training AI models on uploaded photos. Our AI providers are configured under enterprise terms that prohibit model training on submitted data.

Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All photos and extracted information are:

• Processed securely using industry-standard encryption
• Not stored permanently after processing
• Protected from unauthorized access

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Calendar API for calendar integration
• Cloud storage services for temporary photo processing
• Analytics tools to improve our service
